Urbangelical exists to help Christians think and feel wisely so they can live and serve faithfully. As the voice of the Northwest Church Planting Network, its contributors follow Jesus in one of the most beautiful places on earth. It’s also one of the more broken and culturally complex places to follow him without faithless compromise or foolish confrontation.
We believe avoiding those twin errors requires a biblical commitment that thinks and feels by faith. It takes both. Thoughtful, unfelt faith leaves the disciple and the world wanting. Heartfelt, ignorant faith leaves them wandering.
We don’t pretend to have cracked the missional code, or perfectly ordered our own hearts and minds. We do hope, however, that over 25 years of ministry in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska’s major metro cities, suburbs and small towns has given us some insights to thinking and feeling wisely.
Mike founded the Northwest Church Planting Network in 2001. Through his leadership the network has been involved in the planting of 19 churches in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Mike also planted a church in Indiana and revitalized a church in Seattle that he pastored for 20 years. He offers decades of pastoral and leadership experience for young emerging ministers.
